Raising money for the American Cancer Society via an Online Auction.

Like last year, women business owners and managers are participating as Donating Divas to help raise money for breast cancer awareness and treatment assistance. This year the group will be participating in an online auction with proceeds benefitting the American Cancer Society. Although we have some donations for the auction, we are looking for new Donating Divas to join us.

Therefore we have created a board on Pinterest to help find other women who believe in doing what we can to fight breast cancer with the resources we have in our hands. All Donating Divas and those who wish to join us this year are providing items with a value of $100 or more to donate for the auction. The Pinterest board at http://pinterest.com/abovepromotions/donating-divas-auction/ is being used to help select the best products from women owned or managed companies around the world who would like to donate an item to be used for the Donating Divas Auction.

The top four items with the most likes or repins will be reviewed by Above Promotions Company and contacted with additional information on adding their item to the upcoming auction on http://www.32auctions.com/donatingdivas. Please be sure the to make sure your product or service is able to be used anywhere in the continental United States.

If you are interested in helping to raise money for the auction by donating an item, please pin your item valued over $100 to your Pinterest account. Be sure to add #donatingdivas to your image and email us at contactus@abovepromotions.com once it is posted. We will conduct a search on Pinterest, locate your item with the hashtag and repin to the Donating Divas Auction board at http://pinterest.com/abovepromotions/donating-divas-auction/. There is no limit to the number of items you can select for consideration for the auction. Be sure the items are family oriented and non-offensive. As soon as your item is repinned to our board, the voting will begin for your item.

This contest to help select a few additional donated items for the auction will take place from August 27-September 14th. The winners selected will be notified the following week, therefore be sure to include your business’ contact information on your product pin on Pinterest and our #donatingdivas keyword with the hastag.

Only four additional products will be added to our existing donated items from our current Donating Divas, so please submit your pin starting August 27th with the item you wish to donate. Also, be sure to share the contest with friends and fans so your item is selected.

If you will not be participating by submitting an item, we ask you consider bidding on the items from October 15th to October 26th at www.32auctions.com/donatingdivas.

Plans are once again underway for THREE fundraising activities for breast cancer awareness month!

1. Team Living Life will be participating for the 4th year in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure event. This year it will be held on Saturday, October 6th from 8 am to 11 am at the Vinoy Park in St. Petersburg, FL. Patients and families across the Tampa Bay area need your help. To participate in this annual fundraising event, please visit http://bit.ly/teamll to register to walk, run or sleep in for a cure.

2. Above Promotions Company will be co-hosting a game day fundraiser for Methods of Empowerment, a non-profit organization which assists breast cancer patients and families with daily activities and appointment transportation. Sunday Football Madness: The Double D Edition. On Sunday, September 18^th from 12 pm to 7 pm at The Buzz, Tampa’s new hottest location to meet, eat and be merrily “buzzed”.

This special Double D Edition is hosted by the Donating Divas (DD), a group of women in Tampa donating money from their businesses to help raise funds for Susan G. Komen’s Race for the Cure team Living Life.

Event is free and will feature drink specials and snacks to “tackle” during the Bucs v. Vikings and Chargers v. Patriots games.  The more you eat and drink, the more money will be donated by owner of The Buzz, Amy Cadicamo, a DD.  Come and meet the other DDs as well.

This event will kick off a week long campaign from September 19-23, 2011 to

Raising money for Team Living Life - A Race for the Cure Team

Support Our Double D’s! Donating Divas that is!

Once again Team Living Life will be participating in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure on Saturday, October 1 at Vinoy Park in St. Petersburg, FL. Men and women from around the Tampa Bay area gather together to participate in racing activities from walking to running. The goal for the Suncoast chapter is to raise $1 million dollars this year.

Team Living Life wants to do its part to help with breast cancer research and treatment expenses for those diagnosed with this horrible disease. Therefore, this year, we have teamed up with several “Divas” in the Tampa Bay area who own or manage successful businesses and who believe in winning the fight against breast cancer. This select group of ladies are our “Donating Divas” also known as our DDs (Double D’s). And we are so excited to announce that our DDs will be donating money to Team Living Life’s Fundraising bank to help those in the six neighboring counties receive assistance.

Now how much money they will be donating is dependent on YOU.
